@mdhughes@appdot.net IIRC there were reasons I did high sierra but no further. Already they started taking away functionality without giving me anything in return (castrating diskutil, fucking up mDNSResponder, etc). Sure, they did add a bunch of stuff but none of it was an improvement for me personally. Only when BBEdit updated with something that was particularly useful did I update the OS to the earliest *it* would allow.

@nuthatch@infosec.exchange oh that’s interesting! Yeah, the costcos and such have bespoke models to make comparison shopping more annoying. I don’t have a subscription to those places, so it’s interesting to see an example ‘in the wild’. Don’t forget to hand wash them ;-)
